True Crime Games are creators of augmented reality games based on true historical crimes. Misadventure In Little Lon was the debut game in the True Crime Mysteries series and the world's first AR true crime experience. Their second game Eastern Market Murder, based on a true crime and landmark criminal case from 1899, launched May 2021. Both games can be played from home or at the actual crime scenes in Melbourne, Australia.
HistoryThe Developers - True Crime Games
Husband and wife team Emma Ramsay and Andy Yong co-founded True Crime Games in 2018. Andy has over 20 years experience as an artist/animator, 10 years within the games industry. Emma's background is in production, marketing and communication. As fans of true crime, history and games, they combined these elements into an interactive, augmented reality experience – the first of its kind worldwide. Their debut game Misadventure In Little Lon released as part of Melbourne International Games Week in 2019. Developed and released with assistance from Film Victoria, their second game Eastern Market Murder launched May 2021 as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week.Future Aspirations
Future games in the series will depend on where the most mysterious true historical crimes take the developers - Sydney, London and New York are all on the cards.
